About the role#
The Marshall Intern Credentialing Program provides a pathway for school employees to earn a Single Subject teaching credential. This two-year program combines full-time teaching with coursework and training. Interns focus on student-centered instruction and anti-racist pedagogy to support diverse student needs.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a full-time teacher of record for two years while completing your credentialing requirements.
- Complete credentialing coursework, starting with a summer intensive and continuing throughout the school year.
- Participate in 1:1 mentoring and in-classroom coaching to receive personalized support.
- Examine how the theory from your coursework applies to your daily classroom practice.
- Collaborate with a cohort of peers to share experiences and build a professional network.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Employment as a full-time teacher of record at a Marshall Intern Program partner school in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Prior experience as a full-time teacher of record, long-term substitute, or instructional aide.
- Academic background in English, History, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
