About the role#
Green Dot Public Schools California is seeking School Counselor Interns for the Winter 2027 term. This is an unpaid, part-time internship based in Los Angeles. Interns work under the supervision of school counselors to support student development and maintain office operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain student records for the counseling office.
- Advocate for the academic, personal, and social-emotional well-being of students.
- Provide counseling services within the scope of your training under professional supervision.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Respond to students in crisis and provide support with appropriate supervision.
- Perform general clerical tasks to assist the counseling department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a partner graduate school program for a PPS Credential in School Counseling.
- A currently active MOU on file between your program and the school.
- Ability to pass a TB test and a background check.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
