About the role#
As a Robotics Engineering Intern, you will join our Customer Success team in Carson, CA. You will focus on robotic surface treatment applications, helping to enhance manufacturing efficiency and precision. This is a paid, full-time internship running from October 2026 through March 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Government Projects team to design, implement, and test systems for robotic grinding applications.
- Partner with Senior Application Engineers to support robotic solutions.
- Participate in rigorous system testing and assist in proof of concepts for new customers.
- Engage in hands-on work to solve complex technical problems.
- Maintain attention to detail while learning new skills and efficient workflows.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or higher in progress or completed in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in iterative design and prototyping of cyber-physical and mechatronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret C++ and Python code, along with experience using Visual Studio Code.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes and industries.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Ability to adapt to new and changing environments.
- Must possess valid work authorization in the United States, specifically as a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with export regulations.
- Preferred experience includes work with industrial robots, ROS, Linux, 3D CAD design, and background in motion planning, machine learning, or computer vision.
