About the role#
As a Tax Intern during the summer of 2027, you will gain exposure to tax consulting and return preparation. You will work alongside partners, senior executives, and peers as a member of an engagement team. This role provides opportunities to learn new skills, build professional relationships, and participate in office community activities.
What you'll do#
- Review data input and resolve technical tax issues.
- Assist in the review of tax preparations.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
- Identify, research, and assess various tax issues while providing information to senior staff.
- Work collaboratively with client team members to build rapport and strong relationships.
- Participate in team-building exercises and networking with peers.
- Meet with a mentor for regular feedback and professional development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated project management skillset, including planning and time management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites on short notice.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The role is on-site, requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at a firm office or client site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
