About the role#
As an Audit & Assurance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside partners, senior executives, and peers on engagement teams. You will be exposed to audit procedures across various areas, including cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analysis. This role offers opportunities to build professional relationships, participate in team-building activities, and receive regular feedback from a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Review and audit business transaction cycles, such as cash, treasury, and capital expenditures.
- Research audit issues using electronic databases and audit-related software.
- Identify and assess audit-related issues, informing senior staff of your findings.
- Work collaboratively with client team members to build rapport.
- Engage with staff, managers, and partners across all phases of client projects.
- Network with peers and participate in community outreach and team-building exercises.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and project management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a complex team environment.
- Ability to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- Location: DC, United States.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week at a office or client site).
- Compensation: $40 per hour.
