About the role#
As a State & Local Tax Intern, you will join the team in Raleigh to help clients manage their tax obligations and strategic planning. You will work alongside tax professionals to assist with sales tax advisory services. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with tax professionals on a wide range of projects.
- Gather, manipulate, and analyze data to support client needs.
- Research state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of your work.
- Communicate with clients through on-site meetings and video calls.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, organizing files, and managing correspondence with state tax agencies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Capacity to work overtime during peak seasons.

- Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
