About the role#
As a Recreation & Membership Intern for Summer 2027, you will support daily operations at the Health Club. This role offers hands-on experience in resort recreation and club management. You will serve as a primary point of contact for guests, manage facility access, and assist with the logistics of various resort activities.
What you'll do#
- Greet members and guests and manage facility check-ins.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions for merchandise and food.
- Monitor facility use and maintain the appearance of the Health Club through daily cleaning and stocking.
- Manage locker keys and towels, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Answer phones and coordinate reservations for court times, lessons, and children’s activities.
- Facilitate resort events, including team builds, 5k Fun Runs, and beach activities.
- Attend staff meetings and complete required internship projects.
- Maintain knowledge of safety procedures and report equipment issues promptly.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a university, college, or community college with the requirement to receive college credit for the internship.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Previous experience in customer service and cash handling.
- Proficiency with computers, including basic knowledge of Windows and Excel.
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple phone lines, and solve problems independently.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, upbeat attitude.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (30-40+ hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Requirements: Must pass a background check and drug screen. Lifeguard and CPR certifications are provided at no cost.
