About the role#
The Grainger Technology Group internship is a 10-week, paid program. You will work alongside technology and business teams to help deliver solutions that support Grainger customers and operations. As a Business Systems Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with enterprise applications, including SAP, SaaS platforms, and custom-built solutions. You will contribute to real business outcomes while developing analytical and technical skills. At the end of the program, you will present your work and key learnings to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Business Systems Analysts, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand business processes and technology solutions.
- Assist in analyzing business processes, documenting system requirements, and translating business needs into solution approaches.
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other analysis artifacts.
- Support solution delivery activities, including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, defect analysis, and validation of system changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer, operational, and business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and common productivity tools.
