About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from May through August 2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift.
What you'll do#
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machine tools, assembly equipment, and manufacturing assets.
- Test, adjust, and repair hydraulics, mechanical systems, electrical components, and electronics.
- Disassemble equipment to identify problems and reassemble machines to original specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
- Respond to maintenance requests regarding equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage parts inventory.
- Support departmental personnel and follow all safety guidelines while using required personal protective equipment.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, or robotics.
- Education in manufacturing or machining programs, such as mechanical troubleshooting or PLC controls.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of various electronic controls.
- Understanding of safety rules and regulations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
