About the role#
Gold Medal Bakery is hiring an Accounting Intern to support our finance team. This position offers hands-on experience with the daily accounting functions of our business. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your classroom knowledge to real situations.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry and account reconciliation.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks.
- Process general ledger journal entries.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Handle vendor billings and customer charges.
- Assist with finance projects and administrative activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in Accounting or Finance.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic math skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Junior or senior standing is preferred.
- Prior office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Fall River, Massachusetts.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week, with at least 4 hours required on Tuesdays.
- Compensation: 21.80 USD per hour.
