About the role#
The Software Development Engineer Intern supports Agile development teams by contributing to software development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work on feature development across web, mobile, API, and data-driven applications while gaining experience with modern engineering practices. The role involves exposure to the full software development lifecycle and collaboration on technology solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop product features for data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API services.
- Attend and participate in Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist with DevOps tooling enhancements, such as pipelines and static scanning.
- Support vulnerability remediation and production activities focused on reliability, scalability, and quality.
- Maintain a production-first mindset to triage and resolve issues.
- Participate in team and departmental meetings.
- Complete a final capstone presentation at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and at least one semester remaining upon the start of the internship.
- Junior or Senior classification is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team and manage detail-oriented tasks.
- Proficiency in using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, including evaluating outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
- Previous internships are considered a plus.

- Location: Arlington, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks, May 26th to August 7th).
- Modality: Hybrid (2 days a week in office).
- Employment: Full-time and paid internship.
