About the role#
The Software Development Engineer Intern works with Agile teams to build and improve software solutions. You will gain hands-on experience with mobile, web, API, and data-driven applications while learning production-focused engineering practices. This 11-week internship runs from May 26 to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop features for data marketplaces, mobile apps, web applications, and API services.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews.
- Assist with DevOps tooling improvements and vulnerability remediation.
- Maintain a production-first mindset to support system scale and uptime.
- Present a final capstone project at the end of the program.
- Attend team and departmental meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA, with Junior or Senior classification preferred.
- At least one semester of school remaining when the internship starts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience using AI tools, evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, and integrating AI into workflows with an understanding of responsible use.
- Ability to work independently or within a team and manage tasks to meet deadlines.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
