About the role#
GlobalFoundries is hiring process engineering interns for our Fab 9 location in Essex Junction, Vermont. This role focuses on the daily operations of the fab floor, including the resolution of equipment and process issues. You will lead an individual project to completion and present your results at an end of year poster session.
What you'll do#
- Establish and manage the equipment quality control plan.
- Drive improvement efforts to support throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
- Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps and process qualifications.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner while supporting Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security programs.
What you'll need#
- You must be a sophomore at the time of application.
- You are actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, or a related field.
- You hold at least a 3.0 GPA and are in good academic standing.
- You are fluent in written and verbal English.
- You can work at least 40 hours per week.
- Preferred skills include prior internship experience, leadership experience, project management, and knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control, and Design of Experiments.
