About the role#
We are looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Intern to join our Fab 9 facility in Essex Junction, Vermont. This role focuses on sustaining fab floor operations by resolving equipment and process issues. You will lead a specific intern project to completion and present your findings at an end of year poster session. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Resolve equipment and process issues through hands-on, tactical troubleshooting.
- Lead an intern project through to completion.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to support throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
- Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps, including planning, selection, and configuration.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize equipment performance.
- Collaborate with integration and process engineering teams to support technology transfer.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore status at the time of application.
- Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA and good academic standing.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Prior related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Skills in project management, planning, and organization.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
