About the role#
The Outreach Support Intern assists the Patient Development team by managing the patient acquisition pipeline. This role supports outreach efforts from initial lead engagement through claim filing. You will coordinate patient outreach, screen for eligibility, and maintain documentation to ensure patients progress through the intake process. This is a paid, full-time contract position averaging 35 hours per week through December 2026, with the potential for full-time conversion.
What you'll do#
- Contact new leads and follow up on unsuccessful initial contact attempts.
- Schedule intake appointments and confirm them with patients the day prior.
- Evaluate patients based on program criteria, clinical urgency, and level of need.
- Communicate qualification findings to Outreach Coordinators to assist with prioritization.
- Document all patient interactions, intake schedules, and updates in Salesforce.
- Ensure all milestones, including testing completion and claims filed, are accurately tracked in Salesforce.
- Participate in team meetings to review performance metrics and strategy.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Nursing, Business Administration, Communications, or Public Health.
- Experience in high-volume customer service, call center operations, healthcare intake, or sales.
- Strong proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM documentation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet key performance indicators.
