About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to the Corporate Legal group within the Gilead Legal Department. You will work alongside in-house attorneys and compliance professionals to provide legal and business recommendations to stakeholders. The role is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Draft memoranda and provide recommendations based on relevant laws and regulations.
- Attend meetings with clients to provide legal support.
- Draft and review contracts.
- Assist with due diligence tasks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and legal organization.
- Deliver a final presentation of your work at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. university.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to 10 to 12 consecutive weeks of full-time work between May and August.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be independently authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- A JD degree level is preferred.
