About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to contribute to Analytical Development projects within the Kite Process Development team. You will gain hands-on experience in a biotechnology research setting while supporting the development of innovative cancer immunotherapies. This full-time position runs for 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work in a lab setting to support process development objectives.
- Create study plans and execute experiments under supervision.
- Analyze data and document findings in an electronic notebook.
- Generate a final Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or study report.
- Participate in relevant job trainings and professional development events.
- Deliver a final presentation regarding your project work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program, with continued enrollment for the following Fall semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 consecutive weeks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and independently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: PhD or PharmD candidates.
- Preferred: Experience with particle analysis platforms (DLS, NTA) and subvisible particle characterization (Light Obscuration, MFI, FlowCam).

- Location: Santa Monica, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (on-site work is required).
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly range of $19.00 - $55.00.
- Benefits: Includes paid company holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees.
