About the role#
GHJ is hiring Tax Interns for a full-time, paid summer program in San Jose. This role runs from June 14, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work on-site and gain experience by handling professional assignments alongside our team. Please note that the firm observes a paid Wellness Week during this period.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and assist with consulting projects.
- Support IRS and FTB audit tasks.
- Communicate directly with the IRS, FTB, and other relevant agencies.
- Shadow team members to support your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between May 2028 and August 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong research skills and a creative approach to problem solving.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
