About the role#
Geotab is seeking a Competitive Intelligence and Market Research Intern to join the team for an 8-month term beginning in January 2027. You will support research projects focused on emerging trends, competitor activities, and product positioning. Your work will provide internal teams with the data needed to make strategic decisions.
What you'll do#
- Perform market analysis on competitors, including tracking new market presence, capability expansions, and product positioning.
- Collect data from industry reports, market research studies, news articles, social media, and competitor websites using primary and secondary research methods.
- Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Develop industry and vertical overviews to identify future market opportunities.
- Identify portfolio gaps and communicate your observations to the Product and Product Marketing teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing a Masters, Post-Graduate, or final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in market intelligence, specifically in assessing companies or industries through data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build interpersonal relationships.
- Technical proficiency in Google Suite, including Sheets, Docs, and Slides.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot as needed.
- Experience within a technical or engineering organization is considered an asset.

- Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (8+ months).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- This is a full-time, paid internship at 37.5 hours per week.
