About the role#
This internship provides practical experience for students pursuing degrees in engineering. You will work under the supervision of a mentor on projects related to process improvement, product testing, and data analysis. This role offers exposure to manufacturing operations, quality systems, and research initiatives while helping you build professional and technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Support technical projects involving process optimization, testing, or data collection.
- Conduct laboratory or production floor work under supervision.
- Assist engineers with data entry, equipment setup, sampling, and experimental trials.
- Collect and analyze operational data to support process improvement.
- Document results, observations, and technical reports.
- Participate in problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Operations.
- Prepare presentations or summaries of technical findings.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance in technical coursework.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, or testing methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Previous internship, co-op, or laboratory experience is preferred.
