About the role#
This internship offers a practical learning experience for students pursuing degrees in engineering or technical disciplines. You will work under the guidance of a mentor on projects related to process improvement, product testing, and data analysis. This role provides exposure to manufacturing operations and research initiatives, helping you develop professional competencies and technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Support technical projects involving process optimization, testing, or data collection.
- Conduct work in the laboratory or on the production floor while following safety protocols.
- Assist engineers with equipment setup, sampling, experimental trials, and data entry.
- Collect and analyze operational data to support process improvement initiatives.
- Document results, observations, and technical reports.
- Participate in problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Operations.
- Prepare presentations or summaries of your technical findings.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Materials Science Engineering.
- Strong academic performance in technical coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to apply analytical thinking to identify root causes and improve processes.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines.
- Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and systems.
- Previous internship, co-op, or laboratory experience is preferred.
