About the role#
Genesis Global Group is looking for a Product Management and Merchandising Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will support the Director of Business Development at Genesis Hospitality. This role focuses on the development, design, and management of retail products for a French bakery. This is an unpaid, for-credit internship requiring on-site work in Hamilton, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Help conceptualize, brand, manufacture, and merchandise a new line of retail bakery products.
- Research market trends and competitor pricing to help shape marketing and pricing strategies.
- Track product inventory and analyze sales reports to find ways to improve performance.
- Create and update training manuals for bakery staff.
- Work with the marketing team to design product displays and advertising materials.
- Help plan the layout of retail areas to improve the customer experience.
- Join meetings with international vendors.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at an accredited college pursuing a degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a similar field.
- This position must be eligible for academic credit through your school.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional demeanor for in-person and phone interactions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Chinese language skills are a plus but are not required.
