About the role#
As a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer Intern, you will perform hands-on work to improve manufacturing operations. You will analyze efficiency related to personnel, machines, materials, and facilities while working under the mentorship of supervisors. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze the efficiency of manufacturing operations.
- Confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and material control systems.
- Develop accurate methods and optimum operation layouts.
- Write operation descriptions and perform calculations to complete studies.
- Change routines or other systems of labor and material control.
- Engage with team members outside of your immediate work group.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Graduation date between August 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a plant environment.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, accountability, and innovative thinking.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in non-climate controlled manufacturing environments.
