About the role#
This 12-month co-op program offers students a comprehensive look at how General Motors Canada goes to market. Rather than staying on one team, you will rotate across multiple Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing (VSSM) functions. You will gain experience in areas such as Retail Operations, Distribution, Data and AI, Field Teams, the Dealer Organization, and Operations Finance. You will work both independently with host teams and collaboratively with your cohort on projects designed to improve cross-functional efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various VSSM functions to build an end-to-end understanding of the business.
- Support host teams by providing data-informed insights on dealer sales, inventory, distribution, field performance, and finance reporting.
- Contribute to a centralized reporting ecosystem used across VSSM functions.
- Participate in a cohort-wide project focused on process efficiency and workflow improvements.
- Assist in planning and implementing retail and operational strategies.
- Evaluate retail incentive programs and generate analytical insights.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research.
- Develop sales, retail, and marketing materials for internal and dealer-facing stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities across Retail, Brand Marketing, Distribution, Dealer Organization, and Digital Innovation.
- Support communications for employees, dealers, and field teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Financial Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a co-op program with the ability to meet all program eligibility requirements.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a 12-month term starting in January 2027.
- A valid Full Class G Ontario driver's license or equivalent Canadian out-of-province license.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 start.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will be expected to report to the Oshawa Elevation Centre at least three times per week, or as required by your rotation.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
