About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern at General Matter, you will support procurement, sourcing, and supply chain operations for the development and production of our uranium enrichment technology. You will work alongside our team on projects involving supplier sourcing, purchasing, material planning, and cost analysis. You will gain hands-on experience across the full supply chain lifecycle while helping keep our development and production schedules on track.
What you'll do#
- Support the sourcing and qualification of suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components.
- Manage purchasing and material planning activities to ensure components are available for engineering and manufacturing builds.
- Track supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness.
- Analyze supply chain and procurement data to identify opportunities to improve cost, lead time, and operational efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and finance to support hardware development.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous problems.
- Comfort working with data and spreadsheets to organize information, perform analysis, and make informed decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
