About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will help build the electrical systems for our enrichment technology. You will gain hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, power electronics, controls, and safety-critical firmware. You will take ownership of technical tasks while working alongside experienced engineers. You will follow your designs from early concepts through circuit board development, testing, and deployment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and development of reliable electrical systems and components.
- Work cross-functionally to conduct systems trades, requirements capture, and component selection.
- Perform schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and design documentation.
- Create development and qualification testing campaigns to ensure hardware reliability.
- Support manufacturing planning and production testing for electrical designs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure systems are efficient and manufacturable.
- Challenge existing assumptions and build professional relationships across the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with one or more of the following: electrical systems architecture, circuit design, PCBA layout, or harness design.
- Familiarity with ECAD software tools such as Altium or Cadence.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

- Compensation: $30 to $40 per hour, depending on academic standing.
