About the role#
General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Systems Engineering Intern to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. This position supports technical projects related to defense services and national security missions. You will work with a team to perform systems engineering tasks on embedded product development programs.
What you'll do#
- Analyze requirements, functional performance, and system designs.
- Develop test cases, procedures, scripts, and documentation for verification activities.
- Build and maintain test infrastructures and environments.
- Coordinate the acquisition and setup of test assets, including identifying materials and working with operations teams.
- Support formal test events such as Design Verification, Qualification, Acceptance, EMI/EMC, and Radiation testing.
- Participate in systems modeling activities.
- Provide status updates on assigned tasks from team backlogs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A standing of sophomore year or higher is preferred.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
