About the role#
GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern for a full-time, paid position during the summer of 2026. This role is based in our Middleton, Wisconsin office and involves supporting a variety of engineering and environmental projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists on engineering and environmental projects.
- Conduct grading surveys and project layouts.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings and material takeoffs.
- Assist in the creation of design calculations, project reports, and bidding documents.
- Perform site field services, including soil sampling, sample transport, and the completion of testing forms and field reports.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least three years of a Bachelor of Science degree in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.
- Preference is given to candidates with experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, survey work, or construction oversight and documentation.
