About the role#
GEI Consultants, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in our Middleton, Wisconsin office. You will work alongside our engineers and scientists to support various engineering and environmental projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with grading surveys and project layouts.
- Produce AutoCAD drawings and complete material takeoffs.
- Help prepare design calculations, project reports, and bidding documents.
- Conduct general site field services, including soil sampling, transporting samples to laboratories, and completing field reports.
- Work both independently and as part of a project team.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least three years of a BS degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel.
- Ability to perform field tasks and oversight.
- Preference is given to candidates with experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, survey work, or construction oversight.
