About the role#
GE Vernova is looking for a Nuclear Licensing Intern to support our team in Wilmington, North Carolina. This full-time internship runs during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site to support licensing activities for the current fleet of boiling water reactor nuclear plants in the United States.
What you'll do#
- Create strategic plans to implement power uprates for our global fleet of boiling water reactors.
- Review and interpret new nuclear regulations, then update our internal procedures and processes accordingly.
- Explore ways to improve our existing nuclear licensing methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without company sponsorship.
