About the role#
This is a full-time internship lasting 8 to 12 months. You will work with the FieldCore team to support turbine and generator product lines. The role involves a mix of remote work and on-site support, requiring you to learn project management, scheduling, and site logistics under the guidance of experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Complete safety training and learn the basics of turbine and generator products.
- Assist with engineering projects of varying sizes under direct supervision.
- Use company web-based applications to manage tasks.
- Support the Field Team during major overhauls by learning about resource loading, cost control, and scheduling.
- Help the service manager with job planning, parts orders, and shop repair activities.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the operations team, including handling customer calls and logistics.
- Expedite purchasing and shipping for urgent overhaul jobs.
- Perform site work and provide remote support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program, such as Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Software, or Systems.
- You must be returning to your studies after the work term.
- A full Class 5 driver's license with a clear record if you live in Alberta, or a full G class license if you live in Ontario.
- Strong communication, planning, and technical skills.
- A commitment to environmental health and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a team, solve problems, and think creatively.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when field assignments require it.

- This is a remote position based in Canada.
- This is a paid internship with a pay range of $26 to $29 CAD per hour.
