About the role#
GE Appliances offers a co-op program for students interested in manufacturing and operations. You will support refrigeration production in Decatur, AL, gaining experience in areas such as shop operations, process engineering, quality, sourcing, and materials management. This role provides an opportunity to work in a team environment, network with business leaders, and participate in professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
- Define goals and objectives for your rotation with your assignment leader.
- Lead teams across various levels of the business by influencing others.
- Identify and develop process improvements.
- Assist your team with the development and execution of project ideas.
- Apply an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Work independently on assigned tasks.
- Schedule regular feedback sessions with your assignment leader.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Willingness to explore all areas of Supply Chain.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: Previous co-op or internship experience, demonstrated leadership in campus or community roles, and strong communication and team skills.

- Location: Decatur, Alabama.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027, through May 7, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position.
- Note: Some overtime and Saturday work may be required depending on the specific role. Reliable daily transportation is required. Housing and relocation assistance is available.
