About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineering Co-op position is designed for returning interns to build a technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly processes. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with engine components and hardware. This role focuses on developing your project management skills, business acumen, and negotiation abilities while you contribute to the production and repair goals of our facilities.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply current manufacturing methods and repair processes for engine hardware and assembly.
- Maintain high quality standards by performing risk assessments, root cause analysis, and using statistical controls.
- Support Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives to ensure safe working conditions.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve productivity, process capability, and operational stability.
- Assist with delivery efforts for sourced components through collaboration with internal shops and external suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Prior GE Aerospace internship experience.
- Current enrollment in a full-time, accredited bachelor or graduate program in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
- A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Status as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
- Willingness and ability to work at any of our U.S. locations.
- Reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
