About the role#
GBA is seeking a Process Engineer Intern to join the Life Sciences team in Broomfield, Colorado, for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced personnel on process, utility, equipment, and construction projects for pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing facilities, research labs, and pilot plants. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Perform mass and energy balances along with heating, cooling, and flow calculations.
- Research and assist in the development of equipment and instrumentation specifications.
- Interact with vendors to select equipment and develop procurement details.
- Prepare equipment spec sheets and draft User Requirement Specifications.
- Create draft Flow Diagrams and P&IDs.
- Visit construction sites to observe progress and ensure designs are met.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least three years of collegiate education.
- Interest in working within a collaborative team environment.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.

- Compensation: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
