About the role#
This paid internship program offers students a chance to apply academic concepts to real-world construction projects. Over 8 to 11 weeks, you will gain hands-on experience while building your professional network. You will work alongside experienced staff to develop your skills and explore career paths within the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Apply theories from your field of study to actual work tasks.
- Build technical skills relevant to your specific department.
- Participate in career development sessions, including resume building and interview preparation.
- Take part in discussions regarding business best practices.
- Receive professional headshots.
- Complete a final capstone presentation or a craft skills assessment.
- Focus on developing your professional approach and networking abilities.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting.
- You have a strong work ethic, grit, and the ability to remain consistent.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and focused on the customer.
- You communicate clearly and work well in team settings.
- You hold yourself accountable and aim to have a positive influence on others.
- You are excited to travel to new locations and project sites.
