About the role#
Gaylor Electric offers an 8-to-11 week paid summer internship for college students. This program allows you to apply academic theories to real-world construction projects. You will work alongside professionals to gain hands-on experience while developing your career path. The program includes workshops on resume building, interview preparation, networking, and business best practices.
What you'll do#
- Apply concepts and theories from your major to actual work tasks.
- Develop skills specific to your academic field of study.
- Participate in professional development sessions and receive professional headshots.
- Engage in discussions regarding business best practices.
- Complete an academic capstone presentation or a craft skills assessment.
- Gain experience in networking and professional communication.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural, Electrical, Civil, or Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field.
- You possess grit, determination, and a strong work ethic.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and focused on the customer.
- You work well in a team and communicate clearly.
- You hold yourself accountable for your work.
- You are excited to travel to new locations and project sites.

- This internship is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
