About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for students interested in exploring careers within the construction industry. You will work on-site to apply academic concepts to real-world projects while developing professional skills. The program lasts 8 to 11 weeks and provides exposure to departments including Engineering, Project Management, BIM/VDC, Safety, and various corporate functions.
What you'll do#
- Hone technical skills in your assigned department.
- Apply theories and concepts from your major to actual projects.
- Participate in resume development, interview preparation, and business discussions.
- Build your professional network and practice workplace professionalism.
- Complete an academic capstone presentation or a craft skills assessment to conclude your internship.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program related to Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural, Electrical, Civil, Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting.
- Willingness to travel to various project locations.
- Strong work ethic, consistency, and the ability to hold yourself accountable.
- A detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and communication skills.
- A collaborative team spirit and a customer-focused mindset.
- Grit, purpose, and a positive influence on others.
