About the role#
Ralsey Group Ltd. is hiring a Knitwear Design Intern to join their team in New York. This is a full-time, paid position for a duration of 5 to 6 months. You will work on-site to assist with design development, sourcing, and administrative support for knitwear accounts.
What you'll do#
- Develop CAD skills, including prints, color, trend reports, and technical flats.
- Research trends in color, print, pattern, stitch, yarn, and embellishment.
- Participate in technical fittings and assist with spec measurements, layouts, and yarn selection.
- Source design components such as yarn, buttons, beads, and trims.
- Compile tech packs, master sheets, and drawing layouts for the Hong Kong team.
- Perform administrative duties, including data entry, document formatting, and maintaining design files.
- Support showroom organization and sample tracking.
What you'll need#
- Strong CAD skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- An understanding of knitted garment construction.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- A detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively with peers.
- Students or graduates in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Art are encouraged to apply.
