About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Design Intern to support our product development team. This role focuses on creating and maintaining 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks. You will work 15 to 20 hours per week in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part drawings in SolidWorks.
- Develop and update engineering documentation, such as specifications and revision records.
- Assist with product development, design improvements, and engineering change initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional team members on new product projects.
- Ensure all design files are accurate, organized, and meet company standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, specifically with 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous coursework or project experience in product design or manufacturing is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
- The role is based on-site in either Dallas, Texas, or Norcross, Georgia.
- This position follows a rolling term.
