About the role#
As a Data Center Quality Inspector Intern, you will provide quality control services for data infrastructure projects. This role involves inspecting electrical equipment, including switchgear, standby generators, and protective relays. You will ensure that all installations meet safety and functional standards while coordinating with technical teams on-site. Travel may be required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Perform inspections of switchgear, substations, and electrical distribution components.
- Read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
- Prepare daily narratives, special inspection reports, and time tracking documentation.
- Submit Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requests.
- Review and approve team reports.
- Ensure full compliance with all company and site safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent (higher education degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Physics is preferred).
- Minimum of two years of experience inspecting, testing, commissioning, or operating electrical distribution systems.
- Current OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Experience in commercial or naval nuclear environments is highly desired.
