About the role#
TMZ DC is seeking an intern to join the team in Washington, D.C. for the Fall 2026 session. This role focuses on covering political figures using the signature TMZ reporting style. Interns will work directly with Co-Managing Editors and experienced journalists to produce digital content from Capitol Hill.
What you'll do#
- Learn alongside experienced journalists and participate in coverage from Capitol Hill.
- Shoot, edit, and produce compelling digital content.
- Engage with political figures in the field.
- Collaborate with Co-Managing Editors on daily production tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college, pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
- Availability for the full internship session from October 2026 through December 2026.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, consisting of at least two 10-hour days.
- Comfort appearing on camera to deliver content in an engaging manner.
- Physical ability to work in the field, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the industry through coursework or previous professional experience.
