About the role#
TMZ is seeking an energetic and motivated intern for the Washington, D.C. team during the Fall 2026 session. This role focuses on bringing a personality-driven approach to political coverage. Interns will work directly with Co-Managing Editors to produce digital content and engage with political figures from Capitol Hill.
What you'll do#
- Learn alongside experienced journalists.
- Participate in news coverage from Capitol Hill.
- Shoot, edit, and produce compelling digital content.
- Work collaboratively with Co-Managing Editors.
- Engage with political figures in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
- Availability for the full internship session from October 2026 through December 2026.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week, consisting of two or more 10-hour days.
- Comfort appearing on camera to deliver content in a confident and engaging manner.
- Physical ability to work in the field, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the industry or field of interest through coursework or previous experience.
