    About the role#

    Four Seasons Hotel Montreal is looking for a Cook 2 trainee for the Marcus restaurant. You will prepare food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment. This role requires a focus on quality, consistency, and professional collaboration with your team.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare food with consistent quality based on guest orders, following recipes and presentation standards.
    • Set up your station for service and manage food preparation to meet estimated needs.
    • Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, mixers, and grills.
    • Date all food containers and rotate stock according to policies, ensuring perishable items are stored at the correct temperature.
    • Check inventory levels for shifts, note potential shortages, and return unused items to designated storage areas.
    • Assist with vegetable and condiment preparation for upcoming shifts.

    What you'll need#

    • Education from a culinary school or institute, or equivalent experience.
    • 1 to 2 years of experience in a culinary or related field.
    • Proficiency with knife skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen.
    • Ability to operate and clean various kitchen appliances.
    • Good communication skills in both French and English.
    • Ability to move throughout the facility and stand for long periods.

    • Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Must be available to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
