About the role#
As an Audit Intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain experience in public accounting by working on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates. You will work alongside senior staff and managers to develop your technical skills and explore your career interests in audit. This is a part-time internship for the Winter 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Effective time management and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A problem-solving attitude, initiative, and close attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Reliable transportation for office and off-site meetings.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
