About the role#
Forum Asset Management is seeking Software Development Interns to build data-driven applications that support decision-making across investment and real estate platforms. This role involves full-stack development projects, including the creation of internal tools, APIs, and user-facing applications that turn complex data into actionable insights. You will work directly with data engineers, investment professionals, and business teams to deliver software solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain internal web applications and tools used across the business.
- Build and integrate APIs that connect to data platforms and external systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers to consume and utilize structured datasets.
- Contribute to UI/UX improvements for internal dashboards and tools.
- Assist in automating workflows and improving system efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (such as Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Cybersecurity).
- Proficiency in Python or another programming language like JavaScript or Java.
- Basic understanding of APIs, web development, and software design principles.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with full-stack frameworks like React or Node.js is considered an asset.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, specifically Azure, is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: 181 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Fall 2026 (4 or 8 month duration).
- Work Modality: Full-time, on-site (5 days per week).
- Compensation: $900 per week CAD.
