About the role#
This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Durham, North Carolina. You will join the team to support data management activities within biotechnology research. This role is on-site and requires consistent attendance in the office.
What you'll do#
- Ensure data management tasks follow regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice.
- Follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Complete all required training on time.
- Review and action queries to resolve inconsistent data.
- Assist with the validation of EDC systems or SAS listings against study specifications.
- Help create and review data management documents like the Data Management Plan.
- Perform consistency checks and data listing reviews.
- Assist with archiving, decommissioning, and report distribution.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a Life Science subject, such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Strong written and oral English skills.
- Ability to organize work and communicate effectively.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Experience managing multiple projects in an academic setting.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external colleagues.
- Proficiency with computers and departmental tools.
