About the role#
The HR Intern joins our team to support a wide range of people initiatives and daily operations. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development. This role involves collaborating with HR professionals and business leaders to help drive company performance and improve the employee experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including orientation scheduling and material preparation.
- Support internal communications through newsletters, policy updates, and employee announcements.
- Maintain employee records, perform data entry, and assist with reporting in our HRIS.
- Help coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and surveys.
- Support talent management processes like performance cycles and succession planning.
- Coordinate compliance training activities and manage training records.
- Compile HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce analytics to identify trends.
- Assist with compensation projects, including market data analysis and incentive plan support.
- Manage general administrative tasks, such as responding to inquiries and processing documents.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional judgment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data.
- Ability to work 20 to 30 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Previous internship, campus leadership, or work experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
