About the role#
Flexcar is looking for a part-time Legal Intern to join our team in Boston. This role offers hands-on experience in contract management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. You will work directly with internal stakeholders and outside counsel on legal operations. This position requires 20 to 25 hours per week on-site in downtown Boston.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and draft memorandums regarding legal conclusions.
- Monitor and triage the legal inbox, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Manage and respond to inquiries from Attorney General offices, the Better Business Bureau, and other channels.
- Review and manage legal documents including contracts, agreements, and company policies.
- Maintain and organize legal files, databases, and document management systems.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation matters.
- Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel to track project progress.
- Monitor legal concerns identified by operations, marketing, and customer care departments.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a JD candidate (2L or 3L).
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail regarding document consistency and grammar.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams on special projects.
- Sound judgment regarding when to handle tasks independently versus escalating them.

- Location: On-site in downtown Boston, Massachusetts.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 to 25 hours per week.
- Compensation: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour.
