About the role#
Fishbeck is looking for a Bridge Design Intern to join the Transportation team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work on road design and other civil projects for the DOT. This role is available in Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills, Michigan, and offers a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
- Support engineers with technical calculations and documentation.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across different offices.
- Help solve engineering challenges and manage project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A desire to learn and contribute to project work.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
- Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.
