About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the sales process while you work with a mentor and the rest of our team. You will learn how to build a sales pipeline, overcome objections, and close deals. The role covers all stages of the sales funnel, from initial research to account retention. You will gain insight into the operations of a small business through increasingly challenging projects.
What you'll do#
- Acquire new commercial customers through street bidding and cold calls.
- Build a customer base by subcontracting with maintenance and property management companies.
- Grow residential accounts through networking and personal contacts.
- Follow up on written estimates to convert leads into customers.
- Research potential clients and maintain accurate sales records.
- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
- Work with the operations manager to evaluate new sales opportunities.
- Attend team meetings, networking events, and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current student majoring in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business.
- A GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to calculate and prepare job estimates on site.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A friendly, outgoing personality and a results-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated self-confidence and trustworthiness.
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation.
