About the role#
As a Data Analytics Intern, you will work with our team to turn data into insights. You will support our data scientists on various projects and gain hands-on experience in the energy technology sector. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Perrysburg, Ohio, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and validate ETL pipelines.
- Build custom tools for data extraction and visualization.
- Write automated scripts for larger software packages.
- Clean and analyze data to deliver actionable insights.
- Evaluate and compare machine learning models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform ad hoc analyses.
- Work alongside data scientists on specific use cases.
- Present your project summary and accomplishments to the leadership team at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors program (3rd year or later) in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
- Completion of coursework in mathematics, statistics, computer programming, or data science.
- Proficiency in Python or R and familiarity with SQL.
- Ability to learn new syntax by reviewing coding manuals independently.
- Experience with Microsoft tools like Windows OS and Office 365.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
