About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within our Quality Lab. You will learn the day-to-day operations of our quality function, including inspections, blueprint reviews, and technical troubleshooting. This role is designed for students pursuing a two-year or four-year technical degree. We offer a flexible schedule to fit around your classes, with the potential for ongoing work during the school year.
What you'll do#
- Support our Quality Technicians with Pre-production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspections.
- Perform lab and product testing on various parts.
- Conduct technical research and write reports.
- Assist the team with troubleshooting quality issues and continuous improvement projects.
- Handle email communication and internal requests.
- Follow FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a two-year or four-year technical degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- A professional manner and the ability to learn new tasks quickly.
- Commitment to accuracy and reliability.
- Experience with blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and gauges is preferred.
- Knowledge of fasteners or AutoCAD is a plus.
